Susan Screen Test
are good guys – and good musicians, too. The Hamburg-based trio
knows how to create fine harmonies. They produced their first album A Million Years Between Us
all by themselves, they love Nietzsche, Spencer Brown, Evola und
Crowley and created a lyrical monument for Huxley: "I don't want your
comfort, I want God, I want poetry.[...]" (Gina's Infection).
Tim Panic and Dolby Surrender have been playing and producing together
for many years, they already outlived a few drummers and don’t
care about their real names being used in band context. Then Till van
Daalen joined and completed the band. When asked about their
musical influences, God Machine, Hüsker Dü, King Crimson or
Joy Division come to their minds. And also, to name some newer aritsts:
Secret Machines, ...Trail of Dead and the mighty Mars Volta.
Susan Screen Test
don’t care about the usual 3.30 minute-song – they prefer
to create and refine long inebrative pieces of music – this
ain’t Easy Listening. If you want to be part of Susan Screen Test’s world, you’ll have to invest 80 minutes and at least one good ear to not miss something of their music and show. Susan Screen Test focus on the music and the musicians prefer staying in the back. No posing, just playing!
