Stigma

Stigma – four musicians, four friends from the German city of Düsseldorf. Four different characters, who created a mixture of Alternaive Rock with German lyrics, performed and recorded in English as well, where walls of noisy guitar sounds meet lyrics about the everyday-life: about the irritations of being in a relationship or the troubles of everyday-life in general. Lyrics somewhere between anger and soothing encouragement, between marrowy statements and justified claims. Melancholy meets angriness, but hope remains. All this is put into nicely filed, danceable arrangements. Stigma’s current release is called „Komawunderland“, which means „Coma Wonderland. Recorded live, it is the band’s roughest album so far. A snapshot sounding like pure Rock Music. Music, that hurts, but also relieves. Twelve fresh songs between Uptempo- and Midtempo – always demanding, never boring and with a dense sound, that unifies them and gives the album ist coherence. This album won’t give you any answers, but it’s a fine soundtrack for the searhing them.

Besides lots of Club Gigs in Germany and Austria, Stigma already played at Rock am Ring/Rock im Park-Festival and shared stages with Die Toten Hosen, Donots and The Wohlstandskinder. Their energetic live-show helped them to build a big amount of fans.

But playing loud is not the only way Stigma can play, which they proved on several Unplugged-Shows, where they re-arranged their songs and decorated the stage in an atmospheric way. One show was recorded and became the „Live & Unplugged“-album.
