After some showcases at SXSW Festival 2010 and New York we were addicted to Paul Dempsey. In Australia Paul Dempsey plays sold out tours in big venues, in Germany he is a not well kept secret anymore. Paul might be known here as singer, guitarist and main songwriter of successful australian band Something For Kate that went Platinum/Gold with several albums and toured Germany two times. Paul Dempsey is very active as a solo artist, composing, playing and producing finest songs between Folk, Pop, Indie and Rock. The debut album is titled "Everything Is True" (EMI Music Australia), got best critics throughout the media and was announced by The Rolling Stone as one of the best albums of 2009! Paul was nominated for 3 ARIA Awards (Australian Record Industry Awards) as Best Male Artist, Best Adult Contemporary Album, Best Producer of the Year as well as for Best Australian Album at the Triple J Award. And: Paul gained the Age EG Award for Best Male Artist! |
