“Never be satisfied!” has always been the four North Germans’ motto which, by 2009, has led them to an impressive list of performances: Everlaunch have played at countless festivals, small and large (Hurricane Festival 2006/2009, Southside Festival 2009, Area 4 Festival 2009, Highfield Festival 2009) and have supported bands such as Oasis, Hard-Fi, Eskobar, Polarkreis 18, Slut, Glasvegas, Blackmail, Louis XI and The Pigeon Detectives. Buy-Ons? No way! What with? Only recommendations and invitations! Everlaunch has also done several tours with more than three hundred concerts through Germany, Austria, Switzerland and Poland. Everlaunch have never relied on the prospect of being hyped by someone else and take matters into their own hands instead. But although pop is central to the music of Everlaunch, DIY is taken more literally than the mere T-Shirt-confessions by other “Indie-Rock” bands sometimes suggest. At first alone, then with partners who by now have become a part of the family, Everlaunch have made their way. Everybody who has come across them has been infected by the unambiguous thrill of the song material and the unbelievable energy of a band, which does not wait for the sacred blessing by a paralysed industry. In accordance with their pop appeal, Everlaunch have produced records with Michael Hagel (Herbert Grönemeyer, Kettcar) and Timo Dorsch (Jan Delay, Radiopilot) in smart and expensive Hamburg studios. Protagonists of music criticism like Markus Kavka (MTV Germany) have already given words of praise for Suburban Grace: “I like Everlaunch. One happily identifies the right models. Also, I love it when there is some power and verve at the bottom and at the same time room for great feelings at the top. Touches me. I can’t pay music greater compliments.” Suburban Grace received best critics, Everlaunch had interviews/features in big German magazines like VISIONS, SLAM, SPIESSER, MELODIE & RHYTHMUS and many more. The singles Run Run Run and Seesaw got on heavy rotation throughout Germany, Austria and Switzerland and in the end were played as a video on MTV Germany.
